Die US-Notenbank möchte der US-Wirtschaft mit einer riskanten Geldpolitik zu einem Aufschwung verhelfen. Der amtierende US-Notenbankchef Ben Bernanke hat den Kauf von US-Staatsanleihen angekündigt und zwar sollen dafür 600 Milliarden US-Dollar ausgegeben werden. Im zweiten Quartal 2011 soll der Kauf der langfristig laufenden Staatsanleihen abgeschlossen sein. Das Geld soll den Finanzmarkt beleben und dafür sorgen, dass die Unternehmen verstärkt investieren. Die Verbraucher sollen durch die dann steigenden Aktienkurse ihre Gewinne einfahren und mit dem Geld dann die schleppende Konsumwirtschaft ankurbeln.
Zum Jahresanfang 2009 hatte die Notenbank bereits 300 Milliarden US-Dollar zum Kauf von Staats- und Immobilienanleihen investiert. In den vergangenen zwei Jahren beliefen sich die Ausgaben zur Ankurbelung der US-Wirtschaft auf 1,75 Billionen US-Dollar. Diese Geldpolitik mit billigen Geld die Wirtschaft anzukurbeln stößt bei Experten auf wenig Gegenliebe. Schon heute werden Milliarden US-Dollar der US-Notenbank nicht für die Vergabe von Bankkrediten genutzt sondern es wird damit an der Börse spekuliert. Diese Spekulation könnte zu einer neuen Finanzkrise führen.

Ich fürchte die USA handeln, was die Überwindung der Finanzkrise angeht, getreu dem Motto “Viel hilft viel” und versucht mit Gewaltaktionen das Problem zu lösen. Das Geld wäre besser in Programmen angelegt, das den von der Krise der betroffenen Bürgern wieder aus den Schulden verhilft, statt diese durch neue künstlich verbilligte Kredite weiter zu verschulden.
